Just Walk Salem Keizer is a grassroots network of weekly neighborhood walking groups led by volunteers. Started in 2012 by local resident Jennifer Carley in south Salem, Just Walk Salem  Keizer aims to improve health and foster community connectedness at the same time by giving neighbors regular opportunities to walk and talk with one another.

With the support of a Community Partnership Grant from Salem Health,  Just Walk Salem Keizer expanded to additional neighborhoods throughout the city. Oregon State University Extension Service, Marion County led the expansion in collaboration with Salem Leadership Foundation, the City of Salem, WVP Health Authority, and of course, our volunteer walk leaders.
